Keep Exploring!
Welcome to Immersive Traveller
Immersive Traveller is a hub for all things travel and adventure. I write about my international travels as well as recommendations for Canadian destinations. My travel style is a mix of adventurous, authentic, and at times touristy. For example, I want to find an authentic cacio e pepe in Rome for a good price, but I also want to see the Colosseum while I’m there.
Immersive Traveller provides realistic travel experiences and recommendations from budget to mid-budget options for real travellers.
As a Canadian born and raised in Southern Alberta, I share a lot of information about where to go in Alberta, what hikes to try in Banff and Kananaskis (and beyond), and suggested itineraries for Western Canada. While I love sharing my international travel experiences and travel advice, Alberta is what I know best.

This summer I went for my third trip in the Yoho Valley area, this time completing the Iceline, Little Yoho Valley and Yoho Valley loop. We travelled almost 22 km over the weekend, traversing across rocky paths and forested trails. The Iceline itself…
Wildflowers Found in Kananaskis and Canada’s Rocky Mountains
Wildflowers, like the golden larches of fall, can be a large draw for hikers in the late spring and early summer season. No matter what part of the mountains you choose to hike in, you’re sure to see at least a few species on your way. This guide notes common wildflowers you may spot while…
